Great to hear! And it's been asked for so I hope to do it more. This was one of the quotes of mine that has been requested the most... so let me know some others! Cheers and thank you for reading.
Great post. I appreciate how you teach this lesson by personal experience. I too for years would skip a workout if I couldn't do the entire planned session. In the last couple years I have realized too that a little gels better than nothing. I find this true in many areas in life. Thank you and I look forward to more articles like this.
Great piece! I’m running a half-marathon tomorrow, and I know that neither it nor the Dec 3 marathon will be what I was aiming for when I signed up in Jan or Feb. I was in a car accident in the spring and basically couldn’t run (among other things) for a couple months. So getting to the starting line and hopefully the finish line are wins on their own!
Geez! Cheers to you for recovering and getting back on the starting line!! Being patient with the patient isn't always easy... but it sure makes things less hard. Keep us updated on how the Half Marathon went!
Thanks, Coach! The half-marathon went better than expected or hoped - 1:43:30, a minute or so faster than a half I was thrilled with in Feb prior to car crash.
Cheers and thank you for reading (or at the very least… scrolling) all the way to here!
I love hearing the story behind the saying. I need more of this sort of content.

"This is about running, this is not about running", how'd that come about.
Maybe with a short explanation on the danger of pineapple on pizza.
Thank you for this, Coach Bennet! I so appreciate how it’s about running and it’s not about running! It’s good to have you by my side!
Thank you for reading! I'll meet you on that next starting line!

Facts! This was about running... and this was not about running.
