Coach Bennett and NRC changed my life. I always thought I couldn’t run and I hated running. Now I enjoy every guided run I do, I don’t have a speed goal or a distance goal, the only goal is to enjoy it and want to go again

Celebrate the small victories. Leave the negative self-talk alone. Build better habits by making a consistent effort. And be good to yourself throughout it all.

This is about running. This is also not about running. These words are worth hearing anytime anyone is ready to make a change, embark on a new endeavor, or achieve a goal. Words for running are words for life. Thank you, Coach.

Well said coach.

Unfortunately by today’s standards we are sort of programmed to be cyclical and hyper focused (in a bad way). So pointing out the fact of recognizing small accomplishments and ensuring success in any way to become better versions of ourselves is the fundamental key to it all.

I needed to hear this - I am my own worst critic. I had a few weeks of hardly running, due to terrible weather and illness. I was looking at my lack of running mileage and convinced myself that I was no longer a runner . I’ve just read ‘The Chimp Paradox’ by Prof Steve Peters (highly recommend if you haven’t already read it) and realised what a shit narrative I was feeding myself! Anyway, I am a runner and I absolutely love it. Thanks for being there in my ear as I run, Coach x

Hi Coach! Thanks for letting us know that you are writing here 😊 Ok, in that case - no podcast? No problem. Love your energy and I’m following you wherever you’re going (don’t worry, not in a physically way 😅). Big love from Germany!

"It’s about how much joy your running is bringing you"

Starting out, many will not feel joy. As mentioned previously, beginning any new activity is difficult. I would add that starting out with a group of like minded, motivated individuals might benefit some as opposed to going solo from the start. A decent pair of shoes to begin also needs mention.

Terrific. Of inestimable value to everyone, but especially new runners.
