Thank you, Coach, for this reminder! You introduced me to the idea of being a good teammate to myself through NRC. As I get farther into half marathon training, sometimes it’s harder to be kind to myself. But, I know it’s worth it.

Cheers to you for being a better teammate to yourself. And yes, it may get harder to be that better teammate as you get deeper into your half marathon training but it also becomes more and more important to do so.

Cooooach! You have helped me through my first 1/2 marathon in about 20 years and I’m doing the same Bath 1/2 this year.

After an event, I struggle to keep up the momentum and keep my fitness levels up. Can you please, please , please write a running programme to keep me honest post event and to keep up the good work?

I bet you could come up the program. The key is to keep your running fun and fresh when you are between "goals". And that's because you want to keep coming back to a starting line. The best way to do that is to look forward to it. Those periods are about consistency and not intensity. Here's a podcast I did about those periods of running:
